Golf for Women magazine, Zagat and ESPN also recognize the Kona Country Club as one of the top golf facilities in America, and it gets a rating of “excellent” from players voting for the top golf courses in America.
The Kona Country Club was designed by William Bell and was built in 1966. It is known for its charming natural and picturesque setting on the Pacific Ocean. It is also a championship course that hosted the Takefuji Classic in early 2000s. There are several sand bunkers, broad and lush fairways and Bermuda grass greens present on this challenging course and the natural obstacles are lava fields and the alluring waters of the Pacific ocean.
